We provide dogs for a variety of conditions for people of all ages with the intention of independence. We will provide dogs to anyone including young children if the dog is able to perform tasks to mitigate the condition and be managed safety by the handler or parent.
Our program cost is currently $6000, this may seem high but most programs are between $10-30,000. If you are located outside of Vancouver, there are also the additional costs of travel.
Leash of Hope is a registered charity and most of our clients fundraise to cover the initial costs.
Yes, we have dogs all over the province of BC and even farther. We are happy to work with teams outside of Vancouver but be prepared to travel and fundraise to cover the expenses of a trainer traveling out ot you.
Our program is designed to provide ongoing and integrated training of the handler into everyday situations. Initial training is one year done with levels of varying degrees of time and commitment using area teams combined with videos.
The success of our charity is solely based on the support of our community, through monetary donations as well as dog supplies.
